We are the Marincas-Bucy Family, Gregg (Daddy), Marlyn (Mama), Alex John (4.5 years old), and Gregorie Ann (3 years old). This blog will be the story of our 6 months spent traveling through Mexico and Central America. Please read along to follow us on our adventures, to find information about planning your own adventure, to get hints and ideas on traveling with small children, or to just daydream.
[Alex is now 7 and Gregorie is 5.5 , and our six months were spent. We are still reliving our adventures every day. And sharing them here. And dreaming of more... always dreaming...]

feliz cumpleanos

Today is the birthday of Felix Ruben Dario, national poet and hero of Nicaragua.  It is also the anniversary of the day we visited the grave of Ben Linder, another hero of Nicaragua.  This post is dedicated to the memory of these two men and to all the other heros of Nicaragua's fight for freedom, and to all the heros who fight for freedom everywhere, every day -- from Martin Luther King and Ruben Dario and Ben Linder to moms who nurse their babies at Denny's.

The cemetery in Matagalpa where Ben is buried.

Ben's grave.
A reminder of the past.
Looking towards the future.
Important things.
The faces of dreams.

The power of coffee.
A walk down the street.
